From Adolescence to Adulthood: A Blueprint for Helping Maine’s Youth Succeed

With support from the John T. Gorman Foundation, ChildFocus researched and authored a policy brief on strategies to improve the lives of systems involved youth in Maine. The brief aims to improve understanding of the issues facing older youth with foster care and juvenile justice experience, as well as those who experience homelessness, and highlights several innovative initiatives in Maine to improve results for these young people. The brief concludes with a set of common sense recommendations for policymakers to increase the odds that systems involved young people will reach their full potential and become valuable contributors to Maine’s future prosperity.
